Trainwreck? Yes.
I don’t watch MTV (okay, once in awhile I might see the Real World) and I didn’t watch the VMAs this year. I don’t like Britney Spears – never have. But I had to watch Britney’s performance on YouTube because I kept hearing about it. I have to say, the girl definitely phoned it in. She seemed quite uninterested in the performance. If it was because a comedian’s jokes hurt her feelings, I say suck it up and prove her wrong by putting on a killer performance. But who am I to judge as I sit on my couch?
My issue with all of the criticism? In what plane of reality are people calling her fat, heifer, huge, disgusting, etc?
The woman just had 2 babies in 2 years. Perhaps the bikini wasn’t the most flattering wardrobe choice and no she doesn’t look like she did at 19 but she is by no means fat. No wonder we all have body issues. There are plenty of true criticisms to make of Britney. I’ll just throw out a couple: questionable parenting, seemingly not so bright, bad fashion sense…but don’t go calling the girl a cow.
I thought the same thing when I heard about it. She REALLY should cut back on her drug use before a performance though ;-).
You know, I would love to look like that. In fact, I would be soooo thrilled that I would probably walk down the street in nothing but a thong!!! I, too, think she made a bad wardrobe choice but she is definitely not fat.
The fat thing is driving me nuts! Did you see her pics for Allure magazine? She is rockin’ it if you ask me…I never looked that good before kids…I sure as hell won’t after! I know she is a crack head…but fat she is not!
I’m with you. I went to MTV’s website to watch her performance because I just had to see how bad it was.
It was HORRIBLE!!!! I agree that she was probably on something, and that she is just not what she used to be.
But fat? I don’t think so. If she is fat, I might as well give it up!!
I agree, she’s FAR from fat. But, I also think she should pick an outfit that flatters the body she does have. It could look killer in the right one.
And her performance? I won’t even go there. I find the whole thing so sad, even more so that she has two innocent children.

I was thinking the same thing. She is not by any means fat. She barely looks like she has ever been pregnant. (I agree I never looked that good before being pregnant myself.)
Now, the bra and panties was probably not a good wardrobe choice, but at least she’s wearing panties this time. 🙂
Yea, I’d be THRILLED to look even half that good in a bikini, and I’ve never been pregnant. I do think some slack should be cut for her in that department.
Now as far as her parenting skills go-she needs some SERIOUS help!!
I would be elated to have her body. After 2 kids I thought she looked pretty good to be honest. I didn’t get why people were calling her fat. If she is fat I must be a lard ass!
I agree with you, I am NOT a Britney fan AT ALL, but I thought the critisim of her looks was tasteless. I WISH I had her bod.
If she is fat, what am I? Her performance was awful but she did not look that bad at all. I am pretty sure she was hopped up on some crack or something but she did not look fat.
Yeah, just a really bad choice of clothing. There comes a time in every woman’s life when she’s got to put away the black sequined hot pants – sadly Britney, your time is now.
I was more distracted by the fact that she may have taken a few more Valium than necessary to calm her nerves. She was barely breathing up there.
