What is a fair?
Huh. Okay, let’s go.
We ventured out to the TN state fair today. It was different than the Ohio state fair – smaller and practically in down town Nashville. But it was a gorgeous day and we had fun.
I had the biggest corn dog I’ve ever seen (enough with the phallic jokes) – I couldn’t finish it.

And she enjoyed looking at the animals in the petting zoo – Daddy didn’t want her to actually pet anything.

Y’,know, I was once in a musical called “State Fair”….
I’ve never been to a state fair but that one looks like fun…our county fair here features a gun and knife show…hmmmmmm…an interesting concept for a transplanted southerner.

emma was fine when we went to our state fair (younger than S) but TERRIFIED at the teenytiny austin zoo.

We went yesterday too! Wish we had run into you. i loved the pics -we (of course) forgot our camera. The only bad part was that the funnel cake I ate kept me up part of the night. good thing the State Fair only comes once a year. For many reasons, really.

Oh, how I miss State Fair’s. The one here in AZ isn’t all that great, and it’s in November, or something like that. I can’t get my brain around that, even after 8 years here. State Fairs are in the summer, dangit. Looks like a good time was had by all!

This week is the Tusc Fair. The kids are very excited about it.

We have so many fairs here that is is just too much. I swear every town has one every weekend all summer. We usually are bad parents and take them to an amusement park instead.
