TGIF

September21

I used to look forward to weekends for different reasons.  Now?  Because Daddy can step up and take on a portion of the Sabrina duties.  I love her to pieces but seriously need a break sometimes.  Some mornings I wake up and think “I don’t want to be the mommy today.”  Am I the only one?  The thought usually disappears when I see her smile at me from her crib.  My newest crankiness is meal times.  Seriously, how does one little person manage to spend more than 2 hours a day eating or drinking?  Good thing she is so cute!dsc04253.JPG

Can you tell she spends a lot of time hanging on the coffee table?  The background doesn’t change much.

I’m not sure if this is a bad hair day or if she was channeling Pat Benatar.

This is her first big girl outfit – a friend sent it to her.  Her first jeans that aren’t overalls and a cute little t-shirt.  I don’t think I like that she looks like such a big girl.

You are SO not alone in that thought. I’m only on leave, and I can tell you that the same thought runs through my head around 4:30am when my son is up…again…and will only go to sleep on my chest…*sigh* But then his does this thing with his lips that he only does when he’s tired, and I get a little bit of a kick in the patootie. But yea, I feel you.

Lovin’ the jeans! We take a lot of pictures of K. when he’s in his high chair because it’s the only time he slows down enough to capture on film 🙂

    Have a GREAT weekend!!

I think we all feel that way sometimes. I sure do. But, like you, I’m always brought back to reality by the sweet things Ruby does.

    Loving that big girl look!

    YOU.ARE.NOT.ALONE.

Oh my gosh I live for weekends. But, daddy has so much yardwork and stuff that sometimes I don’t get much of a break and that makes for a cranky mommy.

I have a girl’s weekend in Chicago next weekend. Can I just say how much I NEED this???? I feel guilty that I’m looking forward to it so much. Then again, I need to recharge for the following weekend and driving to Guatoberfest ALONE with her.

I HEART Sabrina in those jeans and t-shirt. Yes, she is starting to look like a big girl – but oh so cute!!!!

And yes, I think we all have our days when being a mommy isn’t what we want to do. I think that’s my favorite part of working part time – at least three days a week I’m out of the house!!

Believe me, I wake up saying it, and go to bed saying it. I love all three of my children, but somedays I just want to crawl into a hole. Also, this is not my favorite age. I love the age the girls are at. After about one and a half, it gets better. 2 1/2 on up is pretty good too.

BUT, at this age, at least you can pick out their outfits. I love the big girl outfit. Sorry, Mom, but she is starting to look more grown up. She is going to be a knockout.

OH, and weekends rock. But, like Alleen Joe often has many projects, so I don’t get much of a break. That can make for a cranky mom. AND, when the mama’s not happy, NOBODY is happy. (Funny, we say when Reese isn’t happy, nobody’s happy–hmmmm)

    Have a great weekend!

LOL… Two hours a day of feeding…NO DOUBT! When you are between the switch from smooth food to table food, feeding can take a LONG while, that’s for sure. We usually have 45 minute + lunches and dinners over here. I love the outfit, Michelle…love that smile too!! Have a great weekend. 🙂 Thanks for the email and for the validation and encouragement…that was really, really needed that day. God bless.

I’m so right there with the rest of ya’ll.
I’m in the same boat as Alleen, my hubby does so much other stuff on the weekends it leaves me kranky. Don’t forget people my hubby works evenings too, SO I am solely alone!

    Sabrina is too darn cute.

Meal time is awful in our house. It draaaaags on and on and now he is getting fussy! I’m starting to have to hide some foods in others. Thank GOD for applesauce!

I echo everyone else (ESP THE FOOD PART) and was thisclose to knocking emma down yesterday around 4p (when she had been up and MOVING RUNNING FROLICKING nonstop and I was exhausted) just to get a moment to catch my (38 year old) breath.

I know Ill regret it but right now many days Im looking a bit forward to when she becomes “emotionally exhausting” (hello pre-teen years!) so my bod gets more of a break than weekends!

    have a great one,

Wow, sabrina is looking so big girl like (sniff)

I have been known to say “OK, I am ready to get off this mommy ride for a bit”. 24/7is a very full time job. It’s an amazing job, but a very long tiring one. You are so not alone!

ohhhhhhhhhhhh yes I have those days!!!!(like when my 14 month old has pneumonia and has been up all night and it is 6 am and she is crying AGAIN to start her day….)

But…those days pass. And more days filled with good things follow…

Love the stylin big kid outfit! I’d wear it!!!

Well, I have those days that I think if I hear “mom” one more time I may just slit my wrists.

I remember thinking, “I so look forward to the day he can talk!”

    HA!

Sabrina looks soo cute in that outfit. Just wait until she cant fit into the cute clothes that are only 0-12 months in size. Then call me with the crying act. I found this adorable one piece outfit at the childrens place the other day. Last year O would have looked so cute in it. But my baby has grown up so fast. This year, nothing less than 18-24 mos. size. sniff.
