Teaching my children to question authority, except mine.

Come out, come out where ever you are!

October3

pink.jpg I’ve read in several places that today has been declared a delurk day.  Delurking means all of you out there who read but don’t comment as are supposed to reveal yourselves.  Apparently some of the bigger bloggers have noticed a decline in commenting but not in the number of readers so they want to encourage comments.  As for me?  I get comments when my posts are worthy of comment and not so many when they are not.  So I won’t pressure you all to comment if you don’t want to.  If you have nothing to say, ask me a question.  Something you are curious about, something you are dying to know about my glamorous life or my flawless parenting techniques (for those who are new here – that was sarcasm).  Or just say hi.  Or not.  Whatever.

(Zoot even stopped and commented here!?!  I feel like I was visited by a rock star!)

One other option – you can be embarrassed for me as I share too much information with the internet and then look at cute photos of my kid.

Yesterday, I was in the bathroom with my usual audience.  I, like many, have some reading materials in the bathroom.  Sabrina suddenly leaves the bathroom and I hear her rummaging in her basket of toys and books in my bedroom.  She returns with her Brown Bear book and sits in front of me “reading” it.  Having a kid keeps me laughing.

Okay, a few photos and I’ll wrap this bad boy up.

Just thought I’d say “hello” altho dont think I’m delurking 🙂 ! Just have been a very poor blogger of late! My computer crashed and I lost all my links… they were backed up but it’s now much more cumbersome to cruise my fav. blogs! Sabrina is a doll! Love all your pics… and looks like you’ve settled into TN life quite nicely!

Hmm…don’t think I can be acused of lurking. Sometimes I worry about commenting to much on the blogs I read. 🙂
Love the pics and the bathroom story – too funny.

No lurking here – but I often read while trying to wrangle Victoria and Sofia so bad me, I don’t post comments as much I would like!

Okay, question from me: Have you found a fab brunch place in the new town?

    Hoping so!

I only lurk occasionally, hey, I don’t always have something to say. Anyway, yes, I have a stat counter and I’m amazed at the number of people that stop by yet the maximum number of comments is usually around 10 (on a good day). That’s ok, I blog for myself, but it is nice to have comments.

And yes, your little one is adorable!! I love her pics!

Oh dude, I’m totally stealing that button. Any excuse to whore for comments.

  6. On October 3rd, 2007 at 3:05 pm Ginger Says:

She is so cute!!!! I totally agree about the lurkers. Before Maya came home I would have 20-25 comments with each post. Now, I am lucky if I have 5. I really wish people that stopped by would comment.

I’m a lazy commenter yet a little disheartened when my own comments are low. Double-standard and silly

  8. On October 3rd, 2007 at 3:45 pm Bobbi Says:

It is fun to get comments!!!!

Sabrina copying you is so cute!! I love it when kids do that stuff!!

Our cat loves to be outside all summer. I don’t think that Reese has really seen her more than once or twice. She is in now and claimed her recliner spot (She gets kinda nasty when we try to sit there). Reese spends long periods of time hollering “kitty” and trying to get in the chair with her. The poor dog on the other hand can’t hide, and gets love tugs and lots of kisses!!

Hi from New Orleans! I am guilty of lurking. I have a 10 month old that doesn’t give me any “commenting time”. 🙂 We brought her home from Guatemala last month. 🙂
Sabrina is a DOLL! Your posts crack me up! You’re pretty awesome!
P.S. – It looks like Sabrina is an LSU fan by the looks of her affection for that tiger she has. 😉 Geaux Tigers! haha!

Thats’ why we call our bathroom the “Library.” Lately I have been doing word searches though. One of our daycare moms even stops in and finds a few words before she leaves with her kid. Now who is sharing too much?

Hi! I believe I’ve commented before, but not sure. I love your blog and your daughter is a doll! I’m not the best at commenting but will try to do a better job of it.

HI Michelle, I need to know how it has been, really, making the transition from working outside the home to working full time inside the home. I’ve decided to make the jump from a job a love to the work at home world and I’m scared as H#*L!!!! Looking for some insight, Lori PS: I haven’t blogged in a while, so you can email me if you don’t mind. Thanks!

I am a lurker, I think the only other time I commented was when you received your referral. I got hooked on your story when you posted on AB and then followed you here. It was exciting to see your adoption process and now I love seeing how you are transitioning into mommyness. We ended up getting pregnant (by some miracle) and so are not currently considering adoption, but seeing your experiences in being a mommy are really fun.

By the way, I have missed the recipes of the week lately…

    Am I a lurker? I guess I am.

I don’t really comment here much but you can probably tell from my emails that I read your blog. But in keeping with the spirit of de-lurking I have now commented!

    Take care.

    Hiya there,

I followed your comment about feeling reluctant to comment if there already is a multitude of comments (phew too many ‘comments’ for one sentence methinks), from DD’s blog. Thought’d I’d answer you here, although why you’d want random 0.02 from a stranger…well 🙂

I felt the urge to say that I don’t know about others, but I too am filled with pleasure at seeing my comments section replied to. No matter how many there are, each is appreciated. I don’t think that it’s anything to worry about.

    🙂

Hi – not de-lurking, just commenting as usual. 😉 I love that Sabrina reads in the bathroom with you. That is a lot better than standing next to you trying to peak in the toilet to see what is going on… not that that EVER happens here. ahem.
