Lions and Tigers and Bears – Oh My!
We took a trip to the zoo today with one of our mommy groups. I have to say it is a pretty nice zoo. Sabrina was more interested in watching all of the people than the animals for the most part but did stop to call the meerkats “kitty cats” (her newest word) and waved at the giraffes. It was a beautiful day for the zoo here in Nashville – 68 and sunny.
You can’t see me. I’m in my cow-moo-flage car seat and I’m wearing camouflage pants.
Kitty cats
The elephants didn’t impress her.
She showed a little interest in the giraffe.
And she did stop people watching long enough to pose for a photo with mommy in the bamboo forest.
She ended her day at the zoo with a carousel ride. Then took a 10 minute nap in the car on the way home and insisted that was all she needed for the day.
Is it summer in Nashville all year long? We’re socked in with rain here. I love the photo of the dog and Sabrina in the last post. Is the dog’s head really that much bigger than hers, or is that a camera trick? Or maybe he was just winning the attention contest that day?
emma wants to know how sabrina got a hold of her pants? (considering they were a gift and *she* hasnt grown into em yet :))
Thanks for sharing pics of the zoo! We live about 2 1/2 hrs from Nashville and “used” to go there alot for weekend trips. Now that Jaden is home we can start again!!!
Forget the animals, that kid has a mom who knows how to dress her. LOVE the outfit! She is just too cute.
I always hate it when they fall asleep and then think that is it. It is so hard for me. NO break at all.
Hope your weekend is fun!
We took Emily to the Cleveland zoo last year and she loved it. It is huge!! We were there from open to close and we had to rush through the Rain Forect at the end because we ran out of time. So this summer was a little busier (didn’t have the time to dedicate a whole day to the zoo) so we took her to the Akron zoo which is much closer and much smaller. About an hour after we got there she spotted a small playground in the zoo and did not look at a single animal after that. All she wanted to do was play on the playground. We spent the next hour trying to get her interested in the animals and finally gave up and let her play on the playground. $25 for her to play on the same playground equipment that she could have played on for free at the park 2 blocks from our house!! Kids! Love to Beana.
We were at the zoo yesterday too! I think we’re leading parallel lives and keep just missing each other. Pilar also has those pants. LOL
Anyway – glad you guys had a fun outing! Sabrina is looking as cute as ever and sounds like she’s really starting to talk! FUN!
It looks like you guys had fun even though she wasn’t into the elephants or giraffes. Skylie loves people-watching too. We went to the zoo here too !!!! Weird
I love her car seat.
Sabrina is all kinds of adorable!
