Teaching my children to question authority, except mine.

I’m not just mommy!

March11

Last night, our little group of N’ville mommy bloggers got together for dinner again.  And I enjoyed it even more this time around.  Yes, we talked about blogging and kids and husbands but we talked about non-mommy related things too.  It is a great group of diverse women.  We laughed.  We ate.  No one had to cut up anyone else’s food.  It was lovely.  We ended up spending 3 hours just hanging out and enjoying a little grown up time.  Thanks Alli for organizing!  I adore Sabrina but sometimes it is nice to recall that she isn’t a permanently attached appendage.

Speaking of Ms. Fussypants, I won a contest on her blog for a piece of her fabulous heirloom photo jewelry and got the goods last night.  I was so excited!  I adore it…now if only I could get Sabrina to leave it alone when I wear it!

And speaking of Miss Sabrina – ever since those couple of nice days we had last week, she is obsessed with going outside.  We’ve had a couple of near tantrums when she had brought me her coat and shoes and I’ve told her no we aren’t going anywhere.  Here is a picture of her this weekend waiting not-so-patiently for mommy and daddy to get everything together to go out.

Love the necklace!!! So cute!!!! Jaden has become obsessed with going outside too. This weekend he figured out how to open the door… Great! I have to adult (I mean) child proof that too!

Ahaha! Love the line about not cutting up anyone’s food. Almost felt weird to be there all independent like for me!

Braden has that same obsession with outside. “Owww-siiigh” was one of his first words, and still one he uses very, very frequently. “The Shriek” is often heard when the door opens and closes again without him exiting to the outside. Oy!

I love the necklace, and that picture of the two of you. I have a Jade from Guat, and Reese likes to pull on it when I wear it. I wear it about every day, and yet he doesn’t give up!!

Glad that you had a fun night out. Too bad you still had to take one with you. I never figured out how to leave the one in my belly stay behind……..Sometimes it is nice to be something but a MOM.

It isn’t that nice here yet, but whenever Joe goes out to the garage Reese looses it until he takes him out with him for a few minutes. Of course, with the cold, that isn’t all that quick. So, I know that it is coming once Spring arrives.

Sabrina is a doll as usual.

My kids will frequently get their coats and bring them to me as if begging to go outside. The world seems to end everytime I go out without them.

I can relate on being excited about not being just a mommy. On the rare occasion that I get to goout with friends or my husband I feel like a new person. It’s definately good for the mental state.

Sounds like a super fun group!!

LOVE the necklace…it is stunning and you made a very good choice of photos.

I think it’s really cute that Miss Sabrina is bringing you her jacket, wanting to go outside…LOL…she’s a smart cookie!! Have a great week. God bless.

Yes, my little one dearly loves the great outdoors, too. He’s always asking to go outside and play. And last night, personally, I was grateful to NOT have to blow on anyone’s food (but my own) to cool it off! We finally got our seven-year-old to the point that she can cool down her own food but for awhile there my husband and I would spend (it seemed like) half of dinner blowing on hot food to cool it down!

It was good to see you again! And I love the necklace, too! That is a precious picture!

How can you say no to that incredibly delicious little face?? I am so ready for Spring Weather too after our big snow this weekend~! Looking out my office window now… I am looking at clear blue skies and cannot wait until 5pm!

Glad you got out for a mom’s night out!!! LOVE the necklace!

Love that necklace! Is there a way to order them??

Yup Jamie does the same thing…tantrums when her cries of ‘gunna go momma?’ go unheeded. Poor baby acts like she is going to prison when we take her into the living room.

Don’t you love when they act like they are never allowed outside the house? My kids give me the same look when the sun makes an appearance. “let’s GOOOOOOOOOOOO Mamma!!”. Too cute.
