Soft Scrub Toilet Gels
For a variety of reasons, I thought I would try these gel things. You use an plunger to stick it to the side of the bowl above the water line. It is supposed to help keep your toilet “clean and fresh”.
The clean part of the claim I’m on the fence about. If pressed, I would say they probably helped a little. But the scent is overwhelming. My bathroom smelled strongly floral for days. I feel about these the same way I feel about a certain femine product: if it is clean you don’t need to worry about making it smell like a spring meadow.
Verdict: Unless they come out with unscented or a less violently floral scented version, I won’t be buying these again.

Birdseye Steamfresh Corn.
Corn isn’t something that would deserve a comment in my world. We rarely eat it. On the cob – heavenly. Frozen or canned? Fine but nothing worth discussing. But I have to say this stuff is the best frozen corn we’ve ever had. It tastes really close to corn that someone cut off the cob and froze for winter. It is really fresh tasting. And my Kroger often has it on sale for $1 a bag.

I routinely perform in a local version of The Vagina Monologues, and last time, I got to do “The Angry Vagina” piece. My FAVORITE line..
“Floral, berry, rain.. I don’t want my pu$$y to smell like rain!”
The steam veggies are the best thing ever! The W@lmart brand (maybe others?) has corn coblets in the mircrowave bag that are really good – major favorite of Parker G!
I HEART the Birdseye Steamfresh veggies!!!! (especailly the corn) I think I have 10 of them in the freezer right now. It’s quick – it’s good – and it gets me to serve veggies. 🙂
The absolute only thing we use our microwave for is Steamfresh vegetables. I prefer fresh, but damn those things are good, and about a kajillion times easier.
My kids love the Steamfresh veggies too!
I keep my freezer stocked with those veggies. Green beans are a favorite here.
And yeah, I bought the toilet gel thingies and found them overwhelming.
Hmmmm…gonna have to check out the Steamfresh veggies. I love corn, but canned corn, not so much.
Totally agree on the toilet gel stuff. It was REALLY overwhelming. They did work, though. I’d prefer a lemon scent, or nothing at all.
