Seasonal Confusion

September29

We’ve hit that period of the year where it is difficult to dress everyone.  We wake up and it is 48 degrees but by dinner time we are edging toward 80.  I, personally, love this weather.  My children are less sure what to think.  Sabrina spent the morning with a blanket and sweater but was quite unhappy when I vetoed the tank top she wanted to wear.

Tessa wasn’t sure what to think of the slippers I put on her this morning.

Yesterday, I sent Sabrina to school in a long sleeve shirt and jeans.  She complained in the car that she was cold but when I picked her up at the end of the day she scolded me for dressing her too warmly.

I love being scolded by a 4 year old.

And while it isn’t season related, it made me laugh that Sabrina insisted that she wouldn’t let Tessa wear this outfit.  I asked why and Sabrina said she didn’t like it and wouldn’t let her sister wear it.  Already a fashion critic.  (It is a little ridiculous but Tessa loves kitties and the consignment sale was really dark so I didn’t realize quite how bright it was.)

OK, I’ve been behind here!! Just got caught up.
It’s a tough dressing season here too, but it’s a lot cooler!!

I like Tessa’s dress but got quite a chuckle out of Sabrina’s veto and scolding!!

I like that bright kitty dress! This weather is confusing as far dressing goes and I have begun the annoying seasonal clothing switcharoo, which takes forever and never seems to catch all the clothes that need to be retired.

How funny. Is that Tessa hiding or asleep in a lump on the couch with Sabrina? I don’t know why, but it made me laugh. She looks so tiny there.
I hear ya about the clothing thing. We did the clothing switcharoo a few weekends ago when it appeared that summer was over. This week it’s been cold in the am and 80ish in the afternoon. All the shorts and tank tops are either at goodwill or in the attic, so we rotate the three straggler items that didn’t get put away…..
You are getting your keys in the next few days, right? You must be so excited. I don’t even know you and I’m excited for you!

I also laughed when I saw Tessa “hiding” on the couch. Just struck me as funny. I don’t want to be negative so I’ll put a positive spin on this but I think Sabrina has a good fashion sense. That dress would look great on Sabrina but it is bold for Tessa. I often get scolded by a 4 year old too Michelle. Fun Fun Fun!
