A Girl and Her Dog
We’ve been working on self-feeding this week – without a lot of success I might add. Sabrina can pick up the food (we’ve been using Gerber Puffs because the fruit and veggies she eats are a little slippery to pick up yet). She can take it to her mouth. But she doesn’t quite get that she needs to let go of it once her hand reaches her mouth – this has been our stumbling block for a month or two now. So we keep working. But this experiment has made the dog realize that there might be benefits to having a little sister around after all. He has been hanging around the high chair a lot the last few days. This morning, Miss Sabrina discovered that she may not be able to feed herself but she can feed the dog. I didn’t catch her in the act with the camera so here are some other photos of Sabrina and Angus. Since Sabrina fed him Gerber Puffs from her high chair this morning, she is his new best friend.
Well, as you know from my blog, Bing loves having a little sister to feed him from the highchair!
I LOVE that next to last picture!!!
Sabrina is SOOO cute – and I can’t wait to see her in person in Atlanta.
Seeing pictures like this really makes me miss my dog. 🙁 The cat, though, is starting to hang out around Alex – he likes most people food!!
Man that kid is cute! How do you stand those smiles? And don’t worry, she’ll catch on…all of a sudden she’ll open that hand and shove it in. Seamonkey can get it in there about 60% of the time, the rest ends up in his lap. Our cats are thrilled if cheese or chicken is on the menu.
The dog pics are priceless.
OMG! Could those pics be any more ADORABLE?!
Im destined to repeat everyone else.
She is friggin ADORABLE.
I love the 2 of them on their backs. Double belly rub?
So adorable!!!
Our dogs favorite time is after lunch in the daycare dining room. So much yummy stuff. The thing I found out about Gerber Puffs is that they tend to stick to the fingers and are difficult for the baby to release into the mouth.

You probably don’t know me but I was a member of American Baby with you. I really want to add to our family by adopting in a few years so I’ve followed your journey. I enjoy reading your blog. You have a flair for writing that I like plus Sabrina is just too darn cute!! I do have a tip for you about the self feeding problem. If you crush up some cheerios and dip the fruit in that she will be able to pick them up!! Read it in some book and it worked with my two year old~
