All is well

December18

I had another doctor appointment today.  We saw the heart beat again and all is well.  Steve got to see it too so that was exciting.  Unfortunately, bed rest continues but she didn’t object to our plans to head home for the holidays.  She wasn’t willing to tell me how long she wants me on bed rest – she wants me to see one of her colleagues who specializes in women with multiple pregnancy losses to get another opinion on how long to continue the progesterone and to check my other hormone levels.  After that appointment, I should get an idea of when she will let me resume normal life.

One day at a time, one day at a time! I am so happy that all is well and travel permissions… YEA!

I always say… a day last forever… but the year flies by. By this time next year you will have questioned if you ever got rest much less neverending bed rest.

Congratulations! I had to use progesterone also due to multiple losses….and now (6 1/2 years later) I’m trying to remember how long I had to do it. I think until 10 or 12 weeks……not sure if you’re doing shots or suppositories, but either way just plain sucks! The things we do for our children! 🙂

Congrats on the continuing pregnancy. Just curious if you’ve had a thrombophelia workup (to check for clotting disorders). Might be something to ask about.

I’m so happy that you made another milestone! What a relief that must have been.

I hope you’re at least doing just the suppositories and not those icky, blechy shots.

Glad to hear the pregnancy is continuing to go well. I did the progesterone shots to week 11. Not fun, but worth it. I second the opinion to ask about the blood work on the clotting disorder if possible. I have a good friend with it and finding out is what saved her last pregnancy.

Michelle! I am so excited for you guys! I was one of the ones on you initial post that refused to say I was sorry because I wasn’t convinced there wasn’t any hope. It’ll be a long haul, but it will be worth every second of bed rest. I’ve got a 6 month old. I was on bedrest from 11 weeks, then ended up in the hospital for 49 days… and gave birth to a beautiful daughter, 7 weeks premature. She weighed in at a whopping 3lbs 11oz… big for the NICU and is now over 14lbs. You’ll do it!

I’m so glad that everything is still looking good! Will you have to wait until after the holidays to see the specialist? I’ll continue to send good thoughts your way.

This may be a little TMI, but have you talked to your doc about sewing your cervix??? One of my best friends suffered many miscarriages until she had that done…….Don’t know if that applies to you…..Just a thought!
