Long night
July29
Well, that was fun *please note sarcasm*. Why is the getting knocked up part fun but getting un-knocked up not so much fun? I spent the night with the medicine on my cervix have having painful contractions. They gave me an Ambien to help me sleep so I was able to grab a couple of cat naps when my contractions settled down. This morning they checked me still only 1 cm despite the pain. But my cervix softened and I am contracting pretty regularly on my own. They broke my water this morning (okay that wasn’t pleasant) and are letting me contract on my own for the moment (meaning sans pitocin medicine).
At this point, things hurt but are bearable. We’ll see what happens as the day progresses.
Dang it! That cervix stuff stinks! I feel for you! No water and contractions is not fun either! You hang in there and when you are ready to go to the next step in lamaze – let me know;) I am so glad you are updating – it is really cool to feel like we are all hanging out in the (blog) lobby of the hospital;)
now – again deep breath in – -relax;)

Hang in there Michelle, Tessa is on her way!
Thinking of you. That’s all I can say as I have nothing to offer in the pregnancy/labor/delivery department. Lots of good thoughts your way, though. Come on down, Tessa!
Hopefully things start moving along for you. Maybe having your water broke will do the trick (it did for me). Hoping for a quick and easy delivery for you!
Memo to Tessa:
Girl, get a move on! We want to meet you!

EPIDURAL;)
Hope it’s not long!
Okay, can you not get an epidural? I’d be asking for one if I were you. Repeat after me…drugs are good.
Oh, and were you completely amazed at how much fluid there was when they broke your water? I felt like it would never stop running out. No wonder I was so damn uncomfortable!!
oooooooh.. I’m going into stalking mode now!
so exciting!!!! hope it happens fast 😉
C’mon Tessa! The blog world wants to meet you!
Oh my gosh! Here I thought you had already had her….. good luck! Will you get an epidural?
I just checked your site and saw you are literally in labor – wow, you go girl! So, so happy for you and your DH and little Sabrina… and hope your baby girl’s arrival is smooth and uneventful! Sending lots of prayers your way!!!
Hang in there. Can’t wait to hear more.
Praying hard for SUPERFAST delivery at this point, along with healthy outcome for both of you of course. I mean physically healthy, your mental state will be a little iffy(ier) from this point on with 2 under 2. But I know you can handle it (with the help of the occassional adult beverage, I’m sure)! I had a dream that you had Tessa while you were in Paris (France, not Texas or Ohio). Let me know if this ever makes sense to you, any amazing food in the hospital (doubtful) or your Doc suddenly developed an accent??? Although, the good part is you recovered quickly, looking refreshed and beautiful. Maybe that is the part you will make truth.?! Getting up to go pee is great, but don’t suffer thru the contractions too long before getting that epidural. Take care, we’re thinking of all of you!
Just had a thought, my dream was last night…maybe you were WISHING you were in Paris, France instead of the hospital feeling uncomfortable (sans the mean lady yelling about your bad French). Take care.
This is so exciting… Can’t wait to here more news!~
Hugs
Ellie
