Little piece of home
We had a pleasant surprise this weekend – Steve’s brother, his wife, and our 4 yr old niece and nephew were in town. We enjoyed hanging out with them. Sabrina was over the moon playing with her cousins – she now thinks hide and seek is the most brillant game ever devised and is sure they invented it. Iveta and I proved that you don’t need to be part of the bloodline to kick ass in 500. And the kids reminded me that my cooking isn’t all that with the 4 year old crowd.
Yesterday, I accompanied my BIL and his family to a small town that I’ve heard a lot about. I’ve been meaning to visit it for awhile. I was rather disappointed. There wasn’t much to see or do on a Monday afternoon. But it is very quaint (by design to a certain degree). This general store did make some might fine pulled pork.
Sabrina is quite sad this morning to discover her cousins are gone.
Tessa actually let Aunt Iveta hold her for 20 minutes (she isn’t a big fan of anyone who isn’t a designated bottle getter right now).
Looks like you guys had a blast!
i love that pic of tessa holding on to the hand. she is such a cutie.
I wish I could have designated bottle getters. That’s the life!
What small town did you visit? I’m curious… I haven’t done much TN sightseeing since living here. I need to pack some in this next year.
Cute pics! Is that your BIL’s car in the top pic?
I don’t think anyone can cook for 4 year olds as far as I can tell – unless its out of the Kraft blue box…
That pic of Tessa cuddling with some lucky person’s arm is so sweet! I’m looking forward to the hamming for the camera stage – all we have at our house are grumpy faces!
Great photos!
I’m dying to know which small town you visited…I could use a road trip for some pulled pork.
okay, that pic of Tessa is to die for …
yeah I have to echo it all….LOVE the pic of tessa.
and Im not a pork fan (types the Jew) did they pull anything else?
