The one where I complain it is hot in the south
Everyone is a critic. Tessa seems to be trying to tell me it is time to vacuum the dog hair off the stairs. It is a never ending job. Just wait until she is big enough to handle a real vacuum…
Sabrina is extremely unhappy that we aren’t getting out much this week. It is hot hot hot.
Yesterday was 98. The weekend was high 90’s with heat indexes in the triple digits. Last night at 10pm it was still 86. Friday actually looks like a bit of a relief. We live in a very shiny, new area so there aren’t even trees big enough to provide much shade in parking lots. We have the a/c set on 78 upstairs and for the hottest hours in the late afternoon it can’t manage to get it below 80 upstairs. So yeah, hot. I expect hot here in the summer – just not so early. Gah! I keep joking with Steve that I’m taking the girls and visiting family up north – we’ll be back in time for Halloween.
Reward for reading my rant about the obvious – some cute.
Sabrina chooses moments to take her big sister role seriously. Lately, her favorite big sister activity is to help Tessa put on her shoes when I declare it time to go somewhere. Tessa seems amused by this and usually lets Sabrina do it as long as I’m not in her line of sight. It is adorable to watch and listen to but unfortunately when I manage to grab the camera it distracts them both and ends the moment.
I rarely watch videos that people post on their blogs and as a result I don’t share videos often. But this is hilarious. Seriously. Watch it. I’m going to try and embed it but I’m not very good with video on my blog so click THIS LINK if it doesn’t work below. I’ve watched it 5 times today and Sabrina has started singing along with it.

We are in Florida and yep it is hot. I am taking my 3 and 5 year old to my parents house
(in Buffalo) for the month of July. I did it last year, and while they missed Daddy they got some great quality time in with extended family. And tons of time to run outside and play. It is just too hot here in the summer. So you might be joking about it but it is something to consider.
It’s definitely cooler here, but not by much. I know those ten degrees matter, but it should not be this humid and hot this early. UGH!
Okay that video is super funny! Love it! You should watch the video I posted here…simlar and just as funny! http://passthecereal.blogspot.com/2010/05/swagger-wagon.html
PS Jack glanced up at my screen while I was watching and saw the last two pics of Tessa & Sabrina and flipped out thinking it was EJ and Olivia! LOL!
They are so cute! It’s been hot here near Philly too! And no rain! My lawn is brown already and it’s not even July! I water the veggie garden every night, but I just can’t see watering the lawn. Thankfully none of my neighbors do either, so no peer pressure. Not that I would ever succumb to that anyway. And I think Tessa should start vacuuming the stairs for you. Start them when they think it’s fun!
W keeps singing “Dead Life” ’cause we watched a bunch of times today… Um yeah. I tried to explain it’s about DADs but ever try arguing with a 3yo?
W does run the canister vac for me! He looooves anything that plugs in.
Anywho, it’s been hot here too if it’s any consolation. You have us beat by a few degrees, but the highs have been in the high 90’s. I think tomorrow is supposed to be 97. Yay! The humidity has been wicked up here too. Which is why I have been staying close to the water. 🙂
Yep; hot, hot, hot here in South Carolina. I used to wait longingly for summer, not so much any more!
I like the heat, but not sure I would like THAT heat!! YIKES. I want to be able to get outside and enjoy.
Sabrina dressing Tessa’s feet?? Geez, I can’t get Reese to put on his own shoes!!! Glad she is embracing some of the big sis roles:>)
HA HA HA HA HAA…I’m wiping tears out of my eyes. That is SOOO FUNNY!!! I’m sending it to everyone I know!
Oh, and it’s 5th level of hell hot here too…13 days of 90+ weather so far, and at least 3 more are predicted. HOT!
It’s hot here too. Over 100 degrees. Thankfully, it’s a dry heat.
Still, I can’t wait until fall! 🙂
