Please ignore the fact my pants are unbuttoned

November23

Yesterday? Fabulous. We missed being with our families but I have to say that aside, it was a great day. The meal was outstanding (if I do say so myself). Later we went to visit Cynthia and her mom.  We played Boggle and Steve was amazed to find that not only are there now 2 women who can kick his ass, there is one out there who can kick mine. Huh. We also spent about an hour just laughing at the antics of Miss Sabrina.

No Black Friday shopping for me.  I don’t do 4am and I’m not a big fan of crowds.  Especially when those crowds are made up of frenzied women willing to beat me down for 50% off the latest Elmo toy.  I just can’t imagine there are any deals good enough to compensate me for the pain of actually dragging myself out of bed at that hour and standing in line in the cold (holy crap is it cold – I thought we moved to the south!) while I dodge the elbows being throw by others jockeying for position.

Sabrina and I are excited to have Steve to ourselves for a long weekend.  If it gets a little warmer we might venture out but for now my butt is planted solidly on the couch.  Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

uh huh… and you were complaining not so long ago about it being too hot there…..

I miss Nashville at Thanksgiving and the Black Friday shopping with my best friend. We didn’t do 4am, but we were out there by about 6:30…. Yes, we’re crazy. This is only the 2nd year I haven’t gone there in about 10 years.

I did a little shopping today and it wasn’t really that bad. Of course, I didn’t get going until 9:30 am, so it wasn’t like I sacrificed any sleep.

I’m there with you. Stores opening at 4am? Are you kidding me?? I am still in blissful food coma at that time in the morning. I’ll do my shopping via internet, thank you very much.

I am looking forward to the long weekend, too.

    Have a great weekend together!!

Definitely not interested in fighting the crowds either. I’m not up for the insanity. I will also hitting up the internet sales!

No kidding. I can’t imagine the ‘deal’ that would get me out of bed that early.
I do enjoy the craziness of the crowds, though. That is, if I don’t NEED to buy something (pressure shopping) but can just amuse myself by the other shoppers’ fanaticism.

I considered the early am thing, but I previewed all the sales, and nope, nothing worth opening my eyes at that ungodly hour for! The kids and I braved it a bit, but MUCH later in the am.

Enjoy Steve for a long weekend. That would be so nice. This is Joe’s company’s busy season. Day after Thanksgiving is mandatory–which leaves me alone most of the holiday season. Happy Freakin Holidays!!!

And, I am wearing stretch pants!!!

    note, geek alert:

if only i’d known there was some boggle competition in antigua i would have brought it down with me! have you ever played yahoo word racer? it’s like boggle but there are varied puzzle shapes and words are eliminated after someone gets them. you can actually make a time and open a board to play with friends- wherever they are. (ok, that last part was obvious.)

    happy thanksgiving!

MFH co-worker said his wife got up at 2:30 to save $25 on an xbox360. Are you freakin kidding me? I’d spend the extra $25.

I was out at 9:00 – there were still plenty of wackos out then!
