How many things are wrong with this picture?

January30

This picture just disturbs me.  Not because she is expressing milk – I understand that is a necessary thing.  But this looks like a torture device and she is smiling, talking on her cell phone, and writing in her appointment book.

Yes, but it looks like she may be in a padded room so that could explain a lot!!!

  2. On January 30th, 2008 at 11:00 am Kim Says:

Yeah I can just imagine trying to have a phone conversation over the sound of a pump. That would be lovely.

  3. On January 30th, 2008 at 11:02 am Priscilla Says:

AND she appears to be doing it all while sitting in a portrait studio! Don’t you know that when the photo shoot was over, she was all “get this shit OFF of me and where the hell is my drink??”

  4. On January 30th, 2008 at 11:03 am Tessie Says:

Dude, I HAVE THAT THING! And yeah, the phone thing is definitely a bit much but that handsfree thing does rock. OH YES IT DOES!

  5. On January 30th, 2008 at 11:04 am Muriel Says:

Hmmm, you will have to let me know how that goes.

  6. On January 30th, 2008 at 11:09 am Ashley Says:

    LOL! I am really LOL’ing.

Does this mean you will be expressing milk, blogging, and talking to your DH on the phone in a few months?

AHH! The “pumping free”. The $30 accessory I could never justify b/c I was a SAHM who never wore a business suit. I just had JD wrap an ace bandage around me, so I could email or read while I was hooked up to the dreaded apparatus.

  8. On January 30th, 2008 at 11:43 am elle Says:

    Mooooo.

  9. On January 30th, 2008 at 11:43 am DD Says:

I think if Madonna saw this picture, she would so use it to make a fashion statement.

But seriously, who doesn’t want an excuse to have 20minutes of quiet time (except for the pwoop, pwoop, pwoop of the pump) and not have to worry about multi-tasking?

  10. On January 30th, 2008 at 11:46 am Kim Says:

I can just hear the conversation, “Honey – I just got called by my agent for a photo shoot!” “Oh, Baby, that’s wonderful, what’s it for.” “I’m not sure, but my agent said something about me being at work – on a phone – something – I’m sure it’s going to be great!!”

    🙂 LOL!!!!

  13. On January 30th, 2008 at 1:32 pm melany Says:

That is funny! Mostly because i have done that. Not in a …studio but in my old work office!

  14. On January 30th, 2008 at 1:35 pm Ashley J Says:

I love the hands free option… and why is she not making the AHHHH it is about to pull my nipples off face?

This one is going to have to be shared.

  15. On January 30th, 2008 at 1:44 pm Pocklock Says:

That picture always cracks me up! LOL I have even seen directions to make your own “hands free” by cutting up an old bra.

I hated pumping. Love breasfeeding, but the pumping not so much. So glad I could be a SAHM not have to worry about such devices. Much props to the pumping mamas!

  21. On January 30th, 2008 at 3:45 pm rachael Says:

where in the world would you find such a picture? and what kind of person would pose for it?! too strange and funny.

  22. On January 30th, 2008 at 4:14 pm Alleen Says:

ok, what about the fact that her abs look rock hard and presumably she gave birth sometime in the not so distant past???????

  23. On January 30th, 2008 at 4:19 pm Bobbi Says:

Ok, that just brought back bad, bad memories. I breastfed the girls, but I wasn’t all mushy about it. It was a job. Gotta say, I like the bottle thing much better……..though despised mixing formula. It’s all just a job!

BUT, in the picture I was more focused on the flat tummy. Does that make your tummy flat too. HMMMMM Might have to try it. Krista says my belly is “doughy”!!

  24. On January 30th, 2008 at 4:33 pm Tera Says:

    Is that Angelina Jolie?..ha

  27. On January 30th, 2008 at 6:27 pm Priscilla Says:

Must comment again. Seriously, the abs? And the fixed hair and makeup? And the ironed shirt? Where are the stains on her pants? And why does she look so well rested?

Perhaps that is why the photog used a model instead of a real mom!

  28. On January 30th, 2008 at 6:35 pm habesha child Says:

I hope that model got paid a LOT for this horrifying photo. that is truly nightmarish.

  29. On January 30th, 2008 at 7:00 pm Gail Says:

I don’t know which I laughed more at, the picture or all the comments.
    Gail

  30. On January 30th, 2008 at 8:07 pm Tam Says:

Oh, for crying out loud. I’ve never been in a situation to use such a contraption, but should she be looking like it’s giving her PLEASURE?! That is waaay too freaky…

  31. On January 30th, 2008 at 8:46 pm Steph Says:

Do you think she added that to her modeling portfolio?

  32. On January 30th, 2008 at 9:24 pm Julia Says:

I need therapy after veiwing that picture

  33. On January 31st, 2008 at 12:10 am Jessie Says:

    God bless.

  37. On February 1st, 2008 at 9:50 pm Sarah Says:

I am loving the picture and the comments more!! It has been many years since I tried to pump and I can guran-damn-tee you that new mothers do NOT look like that while pumping… more like, pull the nipple through a funnel and try not to scream when you see it coming out the other end!!! And the noise of the pump?? The person at the other end of that phone line must wonder what that bwah mwah bwah mwah sound is…

  38. On February 1st, 2008 at 9:51 pm Sarah Says:

Forgot to say… shudder shudder shudder
