Geek Squad sucks

March25

I whined talked about my laptop woes a couple of weeks ago. We took it to the Geek Squad because it was still under warranty. Steve told them (because I would have said “its broke”) that he felt it was the video card due to x, y, and z.

They called Friday to say it was ready to pick up. Hooray! I happily went to pick it up. The tech told me that they cleaned the lens on the DVD drive and ran diagnostics – nothing else. They claimed it was a software problem (not covered by warranty) not a hardware problem. Bottom line? Still broken. Steve wiped out everything on my laptop and tried to do a factory restore (no idea what that means other than I lost everything). It took my husband all of 30 minutes to be sure there was indeed a hardware issue not a corrupt operating system. We took it back to the Geek Squad and the tech offered to send a “harshly worded note” to the geek behind the curtain who would be working on it.

Pregnancy brings strangely vivid dreams. My dreams are usually rather dull. I had a dream a few weeks ago about standing in line at a bank to get 2 documents notarized. That was it – standing in line and signing 2 papers. But last night, I had one so disturbing that when I told Steve about it he claimed he would have nightmares about it. I’ve been up since 5am because I couldn’t get it out of my head.

Anyone who uses WordPress…how can I delete draft posts?  I can’t seem to get rid of them.

Oh brother. How do you tell someone to come and pick up their broken computer? What a dope.

Hopefully you can get some rest when Sabrina takes a nap- sorry to hear about the nightmare.

I really don’t like it when Geek Squad does that. Or when they ask “what’s the problem”….and then get annoyed when you say “well it’s not working”.

The wordpress thing: Go to the Manage tab. In the Status drop down menu select Draft. You can delete from here.

The dreams are really getting to me…hence the ridiculously boring content about my dreams I’ve been hitting publish on rather then following the above directions and deleting.

Hope you have a good Tuesday!

AHHHHH I despise Geek Squad – they were so awful when we tried to purchase a computer 2 years ago that they actually gave us free T-shirts (yes geek Squad shirts – I can send you one if you want) to apologize for our troubles the 3rd time we returned a broken “brand new” computer! I hope it gets fixed this time.

    WordPress:

    Filter status to Draft
You can View, Edit and Delete from there.

The easiest way to get rid of a draft post is: manage – posts – click the post you want to delete and scroll to the bottom of the screen. There is a button that says “delete this post.” That’s how I do it.

    Sucks about your computer.

Can totally relate to you on the dream stuff. I have always had vivid dreams to an extent but pregnancy made them 100 times worse. Unfortunately, some of it seemed to stick around even after I had the kids….moreso with the second than the first.
    So sorry about the nightmare.

(can’t relate on the other 2 topics of discussion)!

I had weird pregnancy dreams on occasion too. Stuff too weird to tell people about, but very disturbing (and none of which turned out to be true, thank God!).

Sucks about your laptop. Hope the geeks can figure it out.

The Geek Squad used to be so good, it stinks that it’s fallen apart now (you’re not the only one I’ve heard of that’s been having troubles). What is is with the Geeks getting a “We’re too cool” attitude?

I was going to try to analyze the notarizing dream, but I got nothing. Yeah, nothing.

Geek Squad is so rotten and money-grubbing! They ask 3X the $ that your neighborhood shop quotes, sad when they don’t even want to honor a warranty.
Pregnancy hormones leave nothing in your life untouched. Dreams are freaky and yes, oh soooo vivid. Matt actually got hit a few or several, if you believe his version, times when I had vivid dreams about him (not necessarily sexual) and other women, animals (the not sexual dreams) and being mean to me in low-down, dirty ways! One, telling me not to call him if he would happen to be out hunting when I went into labor; he may still have a scar from that one!

I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours as of late, but
I by no means found any fascinating article like yours.
It’s pretty worth sufficient for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good
content material as you did, the internet shall be a lot
    more helpful than ever before.
