April13
A year ago today was my first full day as Sabrina’s mom. April 12th I moved to Antigua. Steve spent a couple of days with us while we settled in and then returned home. Being away from him was really difficult as was being a first time mom solo – but I remember my time in Antigua fondly.
I can’t believe how much she has grown and how much our lives have changed in 12 months.
Today is our “Gotcha Day” as well! Lots of changes you had over this past year! Congrats on the milestone.
Happy Anniversary! What an amazing year for your family!
Happy Forever Family Day!!!
Wow, what a difference a year makes. I so remember this picture.
Congratulations on this very special day.
Happy Family Day! Hard to believe she was ever that tiny!!!!
Congratulations! I can’t believe the year has flown by so quickly… and I can’t believe I’ve been reading your blog for over a year as well. I started reading your blog when I was out of work with a high risk pregnancy and I remember looking forward to the daily updates… especially during those long days in the hospital. Those surely were special times for you and your family and I thank you for sharing them with us.
Holy cow, how is it possible it’s been a year already?????
Wow a whole year already! I cannot believe how much she has changed too! Happy Anniversary!
Congrats!
She’s such a big girl now. Adorable as ever though!
Michelle, there’s NO WAY that was a year ago! It seems like just yesterday you and Steve were sitting on our couch in Antigua, looking a bit overwhelmed, and asking a million questions about groceries, utilities, restaurants, and WATER DELIVERY! Remember the joy of seeing the big blue bottle of agua arrive? 🙂
Congratulations on your Gotcha Day!
CONGRATS! I love how she’s looking up at you in that picture.
I remember meeting you (and Steve) in the airport on our way to Guat. You to stay until completion, me to visit. I looked exhausted and you had that deer-in-headlights-I-can’t-believe-I-am-doing-this-look on your face. You may not even remember meeting me. I can’t believe it has already been a year since then!!!!
Happy Anniversary!
BTW, people kept telling me I didn’t look pregnant, too. I wanted to drop kick them all because HELLO I was a size 4, gained 65 pounds all in the stomach, and looked like I had swallowed a Yoga ball. Telling me I didn’t look pregnant was basically telling me I have always looked like a beached whale. Not nice. But, I think it’s just people trying (and failing) to say you look good.
Happy 1 year of mommyhood!
Happy Forever Family Day. Thanks for sharing Miss Cuteness with us throughout this time.
That is wonderful! I cannot believe it has been a year..
Congrats! What a difference a year makes. 🙂
Congratulations! You have inspired me to go back and read your blog from the beginning to read the whole story. I can so relate with the whole fertility issues/changing mindset towards adoption process.
Our Gotcha Day is May 24th 2 years ago.
Look how relaxed and content you look!!! How beautiful!
Happy Gotcha Day!
Holy Cow! I can’t believe it’s been a year! It seems like just yesterday I was reading about your journey. Congratulations!! :o)
By the way, you look fabulous pregnant!! :o))
