Teaching my children to question authority, except mine.

I heart Willis H. Carrier…

August8

…inventor of the air conditioner.

Now some photos from our day for Daddy who didn’t get to see much of his princess today since he worked late.

Sabrina and her new BFF – she feeds him from her high chair so now Angus thinks she is the coolest thing ever.

This morning she found her “Life is too short to clean your own house” pamphlet (which if you didn’t guess is an ad for a cleaning service). She seriously didn’t let it go all day long. I had to take it from her before her bath.

No matter what else she did today, she had that pamphlet clutched in her little hand.

If you look at the first photo, please notice all of the toys available to her. But the pamphlet is what kept her entertained. Why do we buy toys for kids?

Alayna loves to read her “mail” too. Although she tears it up and either tries to eat it or brings me lots of little pieces of paper.

I’ve also wondered why I buy Alex toys. His favorites right now are DVD cases. He stacks them – carries them – throws them (at my head usually – I think I may need to start therapy!). He also really likes my supply of hotel toiletries. He has to have one in his hand when he’s in the house.

I wonder if she is packing it around so that mommy will call that service and hire them so she has more time to play with Sabrina and not clean????

I feel ya on the AC. Ours couldn’t hardly keep up yesterday.

I’ve sent a couple emails, but I’m thinking maybe you don’t use your paypal email??? I want to make sure I have the right one so you can get on the Guatoberfest blog (I’m privatizing today) and I also need to get the registration form to you.

Can you email me at kerry.collins@charter.net?

    Thanks!

Anne Pearce dives for any paper or pamphlet….our problem is she eats paper like she’s a goat. I think she has a hidden stash somewhere, because I have seen her chowing down on mystery paper a couple of times! As far as the air goes…..It was like 100 degrees here yesterday! HOT. I went walking last night at 8 and it was still 90 degrees! I’d like to tell you that you get used to it…..I do think your body will adjust some to the humidity, but it still blows me away!

I’ve wondered that myself many many times.

We love plastic easter eggs and tupperware over here. Oh and taking apart mama’s wallet is a favorite pastime.

Just think of all the money you can save at Christmas. Of course, the older they get, the more expensive the gifts. Sabrina is as cute as always.

Okay, I must be totally slap happy tonight…I cracked up until I cried when I saw the pic with Sabrina smiling, happy as a CLAM with that crazy pamphlet. FOR THREE DAYS Emma has been carrying around a plastic whisk! I gave it to her in the kitchen one evening when I was trying to make dinner. It is KILLING me…it is so hilarious…and yes, with toys all around… Awwww, motherhood. I was laughing so hard when I saw Sabrins, Jason was wondering if I *just* had Theraflu in my steamy mug or something a bit stronger…thanks for the laugh…I can totally relate.

    God bless.
