The bird from Snoopy – not the avoid-the-brown-acid concert. After Tessa gets a bath, her hair is like duck fluff. Last night, she wiggled her feet free of her swaddling (much like momma who hates to have her feet covered except for on the coldest winter nights). Between the hair and the tiny little feet, I thought she looked rather like Woodstock.

Last night was one of little sleep. Today was full of crying and whining – in stereo. Around 3:00 I started to lose it a little. So we went for a walk around the neighborhood and played outside for a bit. The walk put the little whiner to sleep and gave the big whiner a chance to ask “What’s that?” every 7.5 seconds rather than whine so I managed to regain my tenuous grip on sanity. TGIF – here is hoping I have some naps in my future this weekend.

I just want you to know that children all over the united states are out of hand – there’s a full moon tomorrow night.

    Great picture.

I’d like to say the whining gets better…I don’t think it does though. Well, at least not by age 6!

She is adorable! and so is Sabrina. I just found your blog and while I’m not married and have zero kids, your family seems so perfect.. maybe one day.

I think you might need some ACID to deal with 2 under 2! 🙂

She does look like woodstock!! She is so tiny.

Here’s to many naps this weekend……..gotta love Daddy time. And, getting out always makes it better.

I remember the “what’s that?” phase….Reese hasn’t hit it yet.

Hope you get some sleep tonight!!

  8. Dawn from old AB Says:

Tessa is soooo cute!! I love those little feet sticking out lol. We’re paper pregnant due in two weeks now so, I’ll soon be enjoying an 18 mo. old and a newborn myself. Hopefully I will survive it as well as you are holding up. I doubt my house will be as clean though.

  9. Melissa Says:

She is SO cute – I seriously want to smell her head and kiss her feet!

Thank goodness for Daddy time! I really don’t know how single moms do it. There were many nights my husband would come home from work and I would say “tag, you’re it!” (and I only had one!). Wishing you lots and lots of sleep this weekend.

  10. Rhonda Says:

That is the sweetest picture. I love her fuzzy hair. And her little baby feet sticking out is too cute. Hope you get lots of rest this weekend. Use earplugs if you have too.

  11. Burgh Baby Says:

I hope naps are in your future, too. And why is it that the big whiners are the ones that send us over the edge?

  12. Lou Says:

Logan was 21 months old when I had Hayden (after a LONG pregnancy and lots of bedrest). I remember vividly just how you feel right now…. I say all the time that I KNOW Hayden was alive his first 3 months, because I have pictures…. It was such a blur that I honestly don’t remember much of it… The quest for sleep was always on my mind…. The good news?? In a couple of months both your kiddos will be sleeping all night, and life will get easier……. It couldn’t have been too bad…. I am in the midst of doing this again. We get Essie next weekend, and I will then have a 22 month old and a 15 month old….. Wow! Here we go again………

  13. Kim Says:

Sorry to say that it took Lucas 5 months to sleep through the night so I remember all too well what you feel like. Be thankful that it’s nice out. Hopefully they’ll both be sleeping through the night by the time it’s cold out. Not being able to go out to play is hard. good luck getting some sleep this weekend.

My hubby wonders why I long for the weekends when he is home to help…and I only have 1 right now….a few more weeks and I will really be longing for the weekends!
