The Peanut and the Pill
November 24th, 2008Grandma and Pap-pap arrived on Friday to give the girls some loving like only grandparents can. Pap-pap determined that Tessa would like a rocking chair.
The next morning this arrived with the grandparents:
How awesome is that? A great gift for the kiddos that doesn’t make noise!
Sabrina was very bummed out to wake up this morning and find no grandma and no pap-pap.
Tessa loves the rocker – we’ve had plenty of opportunties to use it already. Tessa quit sleeping through the night about a month ago. We were just getting back to it before she got sick and now all bets are off. She just seems unable to go more than 4 hours without eating now. So we are up at midnight and 5-ish. After a false start last night, Steve and I are trying to come up with some ideas to help her sleep longer between feedings.

That looks like the perfect rocker. I like the nice high back for resting your sleepy head and the nice wide arms for propping arms and babes. Awesome! I have a hickory rocker…its pretty but not comfortable for baby rocking.

That is such a sweet picture of grandma with the two girls! As far as the sleeping… maybe she’s just needing to eat a little more right now to make up for being sick and then it will even off again. I am actually NEVER one to give advise about getting kids to sleep. Whatever I did – didn’t really work. Perhaps put some turkey in her bottle. ? 😉

Some of my sweetest moments with Serena were rocking her to sleep. You will all love the rocker, it’s a great gift. Sabrina looks so happy and what a smile! I hope Tessa starts sleeping through the night. It just might be because she was sick and it takes a little while for her to get back to her routine.

One of the things we did to start getting through the night is when our son woke up, we started giving him a pacifier. This started getting him over the habit of expecting a bottle in the middle of the night. I think we started this at around 3 months old and it only took a night or two before he got the hang of it. Just a thought!

Kids are so cute…awesome rocker and if you figure out how to get her through the night, PLEASE let me know. My little one is 3 months and he eats at 8:30, wakes up at 1am, I give him a binky, then he sleeps until 3:30am to eat…..then at 6:30am again!
I am SOOOO tired!!!
