Clorox Green Works Wipes
I received a sample of Clorox Green Works Wipes to test and share my thoughts about. Thanks to Clorox and Mom Central for the opportunity.
I’m a fan of the regular Clorox Wipes. I’m a lazy housekeeper. I am much more likely to clean if it is easy. I’ve always found if I keep a canister of the wipes under the sink of each bathroom and the kitchen, I am more likely to pull them out for quick clean ups. They do a great job.
When I saw that these were biobegradable and could be thrown in the typical family compost, I was happy that I could keep my lazy ways while being a bit friendlier to the environment. We are not hard core green in our house but I try to do what I can.
I tried them in the bathroom and in the kitchen. I was a little afraid of them shredding easily or streaking my fixtures. I am pleased to report both concerns were unfounded. I used them on my toothpaste spotted bathroom sink and faucet. As you can see, it is clean and streak free.
The real test my the stove. I have a black stove so streaks are a constant problem. And I had made spaghetti sauce that night so there were splatters and herbs around the burners.
No streaks, no lint, no shredded wipe, and no dirt left. I was pleased with the wipes and will replace my regular Clorox Wipes with the Clorox Green Works Wipes in the future. Oh and they smell pretty good too!
Good to know!!! I LOVE lysol wipes. Maybe I should switch, too.
Okay, you sold me with the black stove. All of our appliances are black and I hate them. They always looks dirty and streaked, even right after cleaning.
I will check these wipes out asap.
how many containers of these did you get for posting this?
is the container able to be recycled (i.e. what number is the plastic?)
i know, over the top, so sue me.
Good questions – inquiring minds and all.
I received the container I pictured at the top – it holds 30 wipes. And the container is a #2 which is the same as plastic milk containers and accepted by most recycling facilities.
I loved the regular Clorox wipes but in my guilt and my switch to ‘greener’ cleaning products I gave them up.
I do love the Clorox Green Works spray and bought the bottle of concentrate to reconstitute in the spray bottle.
I am going to have to try those wipes!
If you are at all into trying out recycled-content trash bags, I found after much trial and error and several years a brand that is actually strong enough to hold up without ripping-
Seventh Generation Drawstring Kitchen Bags.
(I’ll gladly send you a complimentary first bag if you are interested in trying them)
I love Clorox Wipes. I too use them for easy cleanup. The only way to clean. 🙂
Clorox Wipes disinfect. I have got to kill germs. They do. They kill most germs. You didn’t mention these new wipes disinfecting. Sure, they may clean & shine everything all up – but if the contagious germs are left, what’s the point? I want something that kills the Flu & Staph & Strep & all that good, fun stuff.
Just wondering. LOL
You are right – no disinfecting properties yet…they are working on a green way to do that!
Actually, I bought a bottle of Greenworks and it has lemon oil in it. Lemon is 6 times more acidic than vinegar, which has a disinfectant rate of 90%. So, lol, you can guess if it has lemon oil in it, it’s gotta have some sort of disinfectant properties.
